Marquee Wedding York Photographer
Becki and Tristan held their incredible celebration on Becki’s parents’ farm in York, filling it with joy, beautiful decor, and a packed-out dancefloor. As a marquee wedding photographer in York, I had the privilege of capturing their special moments and preserving their love story through my lens. From the moment I met this vibrant couple, everyone could see that they were perfect for each other and brought a unique energy to their wedding day.

Heading into Bridal Prep was a total breeze – it was such a chilled-out morning. Becki got ready at the farm, and it was exciting to see suppliers working hard to make the marquee look amazing. I couldn’t resist checking on their progress, and it was brilliant to witness the space’s transformation.
Becki couldn’t stop smiling all morning. She was even smiling through her tears when she was ready and her mum and dad came in to see her. It was a really emotional moment and I must admit, I was holding back to tears behind the camera! Her parents are just so full of love for Becki and you could see how proud they were of her.
A family friend allowed them to use his classic Landrover for the day. It looked absolutely fantastic, all done up with ribbons. He’d even custom-built some steps as a surprise so that Becki could climb gracefully up in the car.
After the ceremony at their village church, it was time for confetti and the party – a brilliant way to kick-start the celebrations! Becki and Tristan grinned from ear to ear as they walked through clouds of confetti back to the farm. Everyone was cheering and clapping and I just knew the rest of the day was going to be brilliant!
Relaxed, Summer Marquee Wedding Photography
Back at the farm, the marquee looked to die for. Becki and Tristan had gone for a really simple, gorgeous setup. Lots of cream flowers, sage greens, and foliage. Huge hoops of flowers were suspended from the marquee poles and simple wooden chairs completed the look. Outside the sun was shining in abundance and everyone was taking full advantage of the weather. The marquee had been set up by the lake on the grounds of Becki’s parents’ home – it was the most unreal, picture-perfect setting. As the day continued, there was an ice cream cart, evening pizzas, and burritos for their wedding breakfast, amazing!
While their loved ones enjoyed canapes and drinks, Tristan, Becki, and I took a stroll with their dog, Fig. Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore dogs so I was in my element! I took a few portraits of the three of them before we made our way back to the reception so Tristan and Becki could catch up with family and friends. The whole vibe was so relaxed and everyone was just having the best day. The energy kicked up a notch when Becki and Tristan entered the marquee for their wedding breakfast – they invited all their guests to join them in a Tequila slammer! It was time to get the evening party started!
And what a party it was. Becki and Tristan took to the floor for their first dance but were soon joined by all their wedding guests after the most incredible lift during their dance! The dancefloor was packed, I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people partying so hard within 30 seconds of being on the dancefloor! It was beautiful chaos – and so much fun!
Becki, Tristan, thank you so much for inviting me along to be a part of your amazing day. Here are some of my (many!) highlights.
