Cecily & Liam – A Magnificent Family Filled Eaves Hall Wedding

An emotion-filled Eaves Hall Wedding – Cecily & Liam

Cecily and Liam’s journey to their dream wedding at the stunning Eaves Hall was not without its challenges. Despite COVID-related postponements, they persevered and successfully rescheduled their special day from 2020 to 2021. Finally, in August 2022, surrounded by the beauty of Eaves Hall, they joyfully exchanged their vows.

Weddings at Eaves Hall, Lancashire

That morning I joined Cecily in one of Eaves Hall’s six stunning suites. Couples are spoilt for choice here! With huge windows, antique furniture, and double doors opening out onto the famous Juliet balcony this is the perfect spot to get ready.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the girls chatted and laughed while getting their hair and makeup done. The children, along with the adults, were eagerly looking forward to the day and enjoyed observing everything.

Back in the bridal suite, Cecily looked absolutely incredible in her dress. It was so unique and had such beautiful detailing. Her Dad was emotionally overcome when he saw her and they hugged for the longest time. I must admit, I shed a tear or two at that point! Since having my little girl, I definitely find myself crying more at weddings. Imagining her on her own wedding day always brings such emotional moments for me!

Just down the hall, Liam was getting ready with his groomsmen. They were eager to get to the bar ahead of the ceremony so after helping each other with their ties (you wouldn’t believe how many times the men end up tying and re-tying ties on a wedding morning!) they set off downstairs to greet the guests and enjoy a drink!

Beautiful wedding ceremony at Eaves Hall

The four ceremony spaces at Eaves Hall are the Ballroom, Pavilion, Veranda, and Dining Room, where Liam and Cecily chose to get married. The Dining Room is a gorgeous room filled with natural light and ornate chandeliers giving it a luxurious feel. Candles lined the aisle and the chairs were covered with blush pink drapes.

Liam and Cecily live in Texas but had flown back to the UK to get married as Liam is from Bolton. Their guests had traveled from all over the world to be with them and it was so lovely to see everyone gather together ahead of Cecily’s arrival. There was a collective ‘ahhhhh’ as Cecily’s mum walked down the aisle holding Liam and Cecily’s daughter. Then the music started and everyone turned to see Cecily walk towards Liam, tightly holding her very proud father’s hand. A huge smile lit up Liam’s face as soon as he set eyes on his bride and they couldn’t stop grinning at each other throughout the ceremony.

Romantic, documentary wedding photography

As their guests gathered on the Veranda it was time for me to capture all the smiles as Liam and Cecily spent some time catching up with everyone. There was so much laughter and lots of hugs!

We spent some time taking some family group photographs before Liam, Cecily and I set off for a wander around the grounds for their portrait session. There’s no shortage of beautiful areas at Eaves Hall!

We were back in time for their wedding breakfast and some very emotional speeches. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room afterward!

As the sun began to set Cecily gathered her girlfriends on the Veranda so she could throw her bouquet, they were all determined to catch it which made for some hilarious pictures!

Cecily and Liam’s first dance was so romantic and all their guests soon joined them and the dancefloor went wild! After capturing lots of the action I headed home, what a day!

Fancy working together? I’d love to photograph your special day.
