Wow! What a unique venue! When Leanne and Paul told me all about Holmfirth Vineyard I was so excited to shoot their wedding there and, I have to say, it lived up to all my expectations!

Surrounded by the beautiful Pennines, the Vineyard is nestled in a hillside with the most incredible views over Holmfirth. It’s a bit of a steep drive so I was super impressed that the stunning vintage Rolls that was carrying Leanne and her Dad to the venue made it up the hill! In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the car was decked out with Union Jack flags and they looked so good as they fluttered in the breeze.

A rather nervous Paul was waiting in the Vineyard’s ceremony room. He looked very dapper in his tweed suit! As the music started and Leanne’s bridesmaids entered I could see him start to smile, he just couldn’t wait to see his bride!

Leanne and Paul have known each other for years, ever since they started working together in 2008. They lost touch for a few years when Leanne moved away but bumped into each other on a dating app and the rest is history! They are such good friends, as well as being head over heels in love. I just adored photographing them together, seeing the little looks they gave each other and how their faces lit up when they set eyes on each other in that ceremony room.

The weather was stunning. As soon as the ceremony was finished everyone made their way outside to make the most of the sunshine! Leanne and Paul were soon surrounded by their friends and family who were eager to congratulate them both. I love documenting all the smiles and hugs at this point in a wedding day. Everyone is so overjoyed for the couple and they can’t wait to give them a big squeeze!

The team at Holmfirth Vineyard did an amazing job decorating the room. Leanne had described their day as “modern with a rustic twist” and it looked so good. The wooden arch was adorned with two striking flower arrangements and tall, geometric copper centerpieces were placed on each table. The wedding cake was a real work of art, it was almost a shame to cut into it!

Now, you can’t get married at a vineyard and not venture amongst the vines for some photos! As their guests made their way inside for the wedding breakfast I stole Leanne and Paul away for a quick photo shoot. We could’ve stayed out there for hours, the backdrop was spectacular and these two are completely natural in front of the camera! They are super romantic and the portraits look stunning.
