Katie & Ben – Farm-Themed Wedding at Peak Edge Hotel

Tractors, geese, and a farming idyll, I absolutely loved Katie and Ben’s Peak Edge Hotel wedding.

As you can probably guess, the theme for their day was farming! Something which is very close to both of their hearts.

Farm-themed wedding in the Peak District

Katie got ready that morning at the family farm. It was such a peaceful, laid-back morning. Everyone was busy getting their hair and makeup sorted while I took a bit of time to capture some of the details – including Katie’s incredible wedding dress from Bakewell Brides. I loved how simple and classic the design was.

Their son, Henry, was with Katie that morning. He’s such a cheeky little chap, full of giggles.

After a few photos out in the garden – we had to make the most of that incredible view – it was time for Katie to get her dress on. She looked so beautiful and I couldn’t resist taking a few portraits of her in some incredible light. It was a moment of calm before the ceremony.

Katie wins the prize for the most unique mode of wedding transport – a tractor-trailer! The bright red tractor had been decked out with ribbons and the trailer had been draped with white material, ready for the bride to hop on!

Ben had spent the morning with his groomsmen and family, before enjoying a drink at The George, where he was joined by some of their guests. A huge John Deere tractor had been decorated with ribbons and was parked up outside the church, so we had to take a few photos with it!

Weddings at the Peak Edge Hotel

Katie and Ben’s church ceremony was lovely and super intimate and everyone was made to feel so welcome. After they were married, they left the church and were covered in confetti by their cheering guests. I always love a confetti moment!

As their guests set off to the Peak Edge Hotel, Katie and Ben hopped into the tractor and we set off into the Peaks for some portraits in the fields.

The Peak Edge Hotel was the ideal place for Katie and Ben to hold their wedding reception. It’s so rural and surrounded by stunning countryside. The weather was beautiful so everyone spent the afternoon out on the lawns, enjoying the sunshine.

We had to make the most of Peak Edge’s amazing grounds, so after some family photos Katie, Ben and I took some time out for a few portraits.

I do love a Peak District wedding, and Katie and Ben’s was just perfect. The Peak Edge Hotel is one of my all-time favourite venues, and I’m so lucky that it’s nice and local for me.
